This late 19th century Washington, D.C. town house, just blocks from the US Capitol, was originally the home of a sculptor who designed the official busts of three vice presidents. Our clients, who use the property as a second home, wanted us to turn it into a luxurious environment where they could entertain and hold fundraisers. When they purchased the property, the only original elements remaining were the living room fireplace mantel and the stair railing. We breathed new life into the house by designing interior trim and details that respect the era but are not strictly bound by it. The resulting decoration is classic, refined and elegant.
